Numerous foreign students, job applicants, and various professionals choose to move to one of the several Canadian provinces. Many of those immigrants will become permanent residents. For those who have decided to migrate to a Canadian territory, it is important to know about the Provincial Nominee Programs for Canada.

PNPs of various types

Each of the provinces in Canada has a unique PNP. All of the participating territories and provinces have to make a deal with the IRCC, which enables them in choosing immigrants from any country. A PNP can make a big difference when it comes to choosing which province you would like to relocate to.

PNPs and the application process for different provinces

You may have applied for Canadian permanent residence with Express Entry. In this case, you must submit an application through an immigration group. Only the government does the job of processing it. However, if you would like to move to Canada through a PNP, you should submit two different applications. One is for the provincial agency and the other one is for the federal agency.

When your applications are approved, you will be granted permanent residence. As the PNP type of application is different for applicants, the time for processing may also be variable.

PNPs for all provinces are also different. For some of them, there is a need to have family who are already residing in that province in order to qualify. However, in case of other PNPs, you may need to have French language skills. In most cases, you will need to show a job appointment letter from one of the companies of that province.

Manitoba PNP

With a population of more than one million, Manitoba restructured its PNP in 2017. Through Manitoba PNP, potential immigrants with relevant experience and skills can now qualify. This can simplify the process of immigration.

Alberta

In Alberta, the PNP has various streams. One of these streams is for strategic recruitment. Post graduate employees fall under this stream. Students who have graduated from an Alberta institution and are working in the province can qualify for the PNP via a stream that enables employers to nominate employees to AINP. The applicants benefit from better career prospects after becoming permanent residents of Canada, while the employers will be able to retain the most productive workers.

For self-employed individuals, there is a separate stream. This is useful for immigrants who have experience in farming and can afford to buy everything needed for the development of a farm. Current farm owners can apply for visa successfully. So, as a farm operator, you may also send in an application for starting a business in Alberta.

In conclusion, PNPs has become very popular because they can help streamline the process for getting a successful nomination in a Canadian province.
