How are Canadian Universities Drawing in More International Scholars?

Throughout the past few years, millions of students from various countries have reached Canada to pursue their studies. They look for high-standard educational institutes and a better future. Some of them are seeking secondary level education, while others are getting ready for post graduate courses. There are several schools and colleges in Canada with excellent reputations. The universities are also taking measures to ensure an improved experience for international students. Canada immigration lawyers can assist students in getting the right visa and reaching the country without facing any legal issues.

We have noted three major reasons for why Canadian schools have attracted international scholars:

·       The academic structure is of good quality
·       Society is based on diversity and tolerance
·       Canada is known to be a safe country

The country has turned out to be very attractive to immigrants, and especially students who would like to pursue a degree. In many other countries, there are political issues. However, Canada has avoided these pitfalls. The academic institutes have also worked on reaching out to recruit international students and to improve the transition to life in Canada as well as the academic experiences of those students.

The universities have also started competing against each other for more students from other countries. They are offering improved opportunities that include help with finances and language development skills. Ninety-five percent of students in foreign countries prefer Canadian provinces as the best destination for their studies. Moreover, we have seen that fifty-one percent of foreign students would also like to apply for permanent residency in the country. Although many of them apply with Express Entry, international learners are also qualified for the PNP application. In most cases, the target provinces for graduates are Alberta, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Ontario and Brunswick.

The best universities in Canada are in:

Alberta
At present, this region has received nineteen percent more undergraduate students from foreign countries. Their academic institute has created new policies for increasing the rate of recruiting international students. It has organized recruitment operations that are targeting students from Africa, India and countries in the Middle East.
Regina
Peer activity, social activity, and several other areas of interest have been arranged by this university so that international students can have a better experience. It is also recruiting young Canadian learners, who like to share their cultural values, to help the new foreign students to adapt to life in Canada.
Toronto
This is another prestigious institute that may have some of the best recruitment tactics for international students. They have invited successful alumni, who started as international students, to share their experiences with studying at the university. They also offer financial help via scholarships, which is an asset to the students.
